Peter Vass is a writer and director from the Chicago area. After attending film school in the midwest, Peter and his high school best friend Sam Milman co-founded the sketch group Bad Weather Films. Their 150+ shorts grew a YouTube following of over 114k subscribers and 22+ million views. Peter wrote, directed, and edited shorts with some of the biggest creators on the platform including Logan Paul, KSI, and Naomi Campbell.

 

Peter made his feature debut in 2016, co-writing and directing the comedy Laid in America, starring KSI, Caspar Lee, Madison Iseman, and Bobby Lee, which received distribution from Universal Pictures. His second feature, Bigfoot Famous - an improvised comedy shot in the Redwoods - was released by Gravitas Ventures in 2021. His commercial directing credits include Sony/Peacock's Twister Metal, Blue Triton's Splash Water, and a national spot for Burger King.

 

His short films include the horror-comedy Old MacDonald (CryptTV) and the award-winning romantic comedy Ghosted (2022). His most recent work, BANSHEE, marks his first solo directorial project and his first full venture into horror, reflecting a growing interest in atmospheric, character-driven genre storytelling rooted in folklore and myth.
