ABOUT

Peter Vass is a comedy writer and director from the Chicago area. After attending film school in the midwest, a National Lampoon editing job landed him in Los Angeles. Peter and his best friend from high school Sam Milman, started their sketch group Bad Weather Films and started growing a YouTube following. Today their YouTube short films have amassed over 22 millions views and they have over 114k subscribers. Writing and directing over 150 short films, Peter has worked with some of the biggest creators on the platform including Logan Paul, KSI, and Ryan Higa.

In creating hundreds of YouTube shorts, in which he also edited, Peter learned to grab people’s eyes quickly and get them laughing before they click off the video. Creating work like this made Peter excited to enter the commercial world. Branded content videos he made for Tinder, T-Mobile, and Google Adblitz have led to directing spots for Blue Triton's Splash, OneRequest, and a national spot for Burger King. His editing company, Short Cuts, specializes in creating content for digital creators and podcasts with clients such as Trixie Mattell, Naomi Campbell, and the Full House podcast.

Peter wrote and directed his first feature film with comedy partner Sam Milman in 2016. Laid in America starred YouTubers KSI and Caspar Lee, along with Madison Iseman and Bobby Lee. The film received distribution from Universal Pictures. His second film, also a comedy with Sam, was an all-improvised film shot in the Redwoods. Bigfoot Famous was released by Gravitas Ventures in 2021. His short films include horror comedy Old MacDonald (CryptTV) and his award winning romantic comedy Ghosted (2022).
